In this class, we will combine important photography skills with creative art-making techniques. Not only will students learn how to take good photographs, but they will also learn how to manipulate their photographs in many different super-artsy ways! We will explore fun projects such as photo collages, photo pop art, transfers on wood, create mini-photo books and funky self-portraits but we will also learn how to master several types of photography, such as portraiture, landscape, macro (close-up), and trick photography. Any type of digital camera with an SD card is required for this class, however, a few cameras are available for those kiddos that don’t have one!

Mary Anne has an extensive educational background in art: she received an B.A. in Advertising and Marketing from Marquette University; she attended workshops for art and photography at the Maine Photographic Workshops; she has a M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design; and she also has a full endorsement in Gifted Education. Mary Anne began her career in education teaching high school Art, Photography and Ceramic classes for 5 years Bridgeport, Connecticut. Next, Mary Anne spent 9 wonderful years in Shonto, Arizona located in the heart of the Navajo Reservation teaching K-8 GT and Art classes. We are so fortunate that Mary Anne is now at Mackintosh Academy and continues to offer her amazing Enrichment classes!
Registration and Cancellation Policy
Enrichment Registration opens Wednesday, January 30 at 7:00pm and will close Sunday, February 24 at 11:59pm!
This closing date allows us to determine whether or not a class has enough enrollment to run. However, registration will remain open for those classes that still have space and have met their minimum number of students by February 24 at 11:59pm.
Because these classes are enrollment driven, we have the following cancellation policy:
To cancel your registration: Email email@example.com your full name, student’s name, and the name of the class.
Mackintosh reserves the right to cancel any Enrichment class that does not meet minimum enrollment. Full refunds will be issued and you will be notified at least one week prior to the start date of class (notification will be February 26 for classes that begin on March 4 and 5).
