Instructor - Kate Leaf
Kate entered the field of elementary education because she strongly believes that children’s curiosity, innocence and energy make them some of the best people around. Since graduating from Colorado College in 2013, Kate’s passion for working with elementary-aged students has led her to jobs in different corners of the globe from teaching place-based environmental science at an outdoor school in California to working as an assistant teacher at an international IB school on South Korea’s Jeju Island. She believes in the power of hands-on learning and its ability to inspire students to find their passion and place in our world. Eventually, her love of the mountains called her back to her hometown of Boulder. In her spare time, you can find Kate matching dogs and people at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley where she serves as an Adoption Specialist, backpacking through the Colorado and Montana Rockies or lounging in her hammock reading a book.
Registration and Cancellation Policy
Enrichment Registration opens Thursday, October 18 at 7:00pm and will close Monday, November 26 at 11:59pm!
This closing date allows us to determine whether or not a class has enough enrollment to run. However, registration will remain open for those classes that still have space and have met their minimum number of students by November 26 at 11:59pm.
Because these classes are enrollment driven, we have the following cancellation policy:
To cancel your registration: Email email@example.com your full name, student’s name, and the name of the class.
Mackintosh reserves the right to cancel any Enrichment class that does not meet minimum enrollment. Full refunds will be issued and you will be notified at least one week prior to the start date of class (notification will be November 27 for classes that begin on December 3 and 4).
