FIRST LEGO League Jr. is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination. In this course, students will build models using LEGO WeDo Robotics and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The curriculum is designed to foster discovery, innovation, inclusion, teamwork & fun. In our final session, families will be invited to attend an expo where students will present their accomplishments and celebrate their successes.
The Mackintosh Junior Robotics Team will complete the Mission Moon challenge. If the team is interested, they may attend the Alexander Dawson School First Lego League Jr. Expo on April 27th.
Please note that there are only 6 spots available on the team. Please be sure that your child is excited to participate before signing up for the team!

Registration and Cancellation Policy
Enrichment Registration opens Thursday, October 18 at 7:00pm and will close Monday, November 26 at 11:59pm!
This closing date allows us to determine whether or not a class has enough enrollment to run. However, registration will remain open for those classes that still have space and have met their minimum number of students by November 26 at 11:59pm.
Because these classes are enrollment driven, we have the following cancellation policy:
To cancel your registration: Email firstname.lastname@example.org your full name, student’s name, and the name of the class.
Mackintosh reserves the right to cancel any Enrichment class that does not meet minimum enrollment. Full refunds will be issued and you will be notified at least one week prior to the start date of class (notification will be November 27 for classes that begin on December 3 and 4).
